Prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia)

Micronutrient therapy

Plant extracts for BPH
While the causes for the development of BHP are still being explored, there are good therapeutic options for treating the symptoms. Due to their good tolerability, conservative phytotherapeutic treatment is considered particularly useful. Although plant-based active substances cannot reverse BPH, they can have a strengthening and invigorating effect on the weakened urinary organs and significantly improve symptoms.
Stabilize prostate metabolism
Saw palmetto, pumpkin seed and willow herb contain phytosterols such as ß-sitosterol, curcubitin and various bioflavonoids which have a stabilizing effect on the prostate metabolism. The antiprostatic mechanism of action is not yet known, but it is certain that sitosterols have antiphlogistic and anti-edematous effects. In particular, the symptoms of incipient prostatic hyperplasia can be improved by these plant extracts. These include ra reduced urge to urinate, improved urine flow, increased urine volume, reduced residual urine and reduced urination at night.
